From November 16 (Thursday) to November 19 (Sunday), Attorney Robert A. Carichoff attended the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) 57th Annual Convention in San Francisco. This yearly meeting gives lawyers an opportunity to learn and address the most recent issues involving consumer law, as well as learn effective practices and network with other peers.
Throughout each day, he attended various seminars related to damages, trial organization, jury selection, and other important legal techniques. The topics addressed included motor vehicle accidents, traumatic brain injuries, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, sexual harassment in the workplace, case liens, police brutality, and other subjects related to consumer law. All of these seminars were approved to fulfill Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) requirements by the State Bars of California and Nevada.
The following are some of the special events from the CAOC 57th Annual Convention:
- “Environmental Issues And The Monsanto Case” featuring Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (Attorney, author, and activist)
- “What’s Going On: What Can We Do To Make It Different?” featuring Congressman Eric Swalwell
- “The Justice System Is Sometimes Unjust: How Lawyers Can Make It Right” featuring Bryan Stevenson (Founder of the Equal Justice Institute and NYT best-selling author)
